Kuhnke FIO Safety modules can be integrated into any EtherCAT network. Configuration and programming are done with CODESYS; the safety data is transmitted over EtherCAT / FSoE. When the EtherCAT terminal detects a fault, it switches to the safe state (fail safe).
The Kuhnke FIO Safety I/O and Safety PLC products meet the requirements of IEC 61508 SIL3 and DIN EN ISO 13849 PLe.
The group consists of two types of device: safety PLCs and safe input/output modules. The safe input/output modules are distinguished by their number of SDI and SDO channels.
