Description
The Kuhnke FIO Safety PLC EC is a module designed for use as a head module in EtherCAT networks. It operates as an FSoE master; it can address every FSoE slave device, including safety I/Os, motion controllers, valve terminals and other FSoE equipment.
The Safety PLC meets the requirements of IEC 61508 SIL3 and DIN EN ISO 13849 PLe. CODESYS 3.5 SP8 or higher is used for programming. The CODESYS safety function modules are pre-certified; this significantly reduces the effort required to develop, verify and approve a safety application. The main controller’s CODESYS environment and EtherCAT connection are used for programming.
