Description
The Kuhnke FIO Safety SDI16/SDO4 is a safety I/O terminal with 16 safe digital input and four safe digital output channels. This expansion module in the Kuhnke FIO series is easily integrated into EtherCAT networks.
The 16 inputs receive sensor information via floating 24 V DC contacts; the four outputs supply up to 0.5 A per channel to 24 V DC actuators. When the EtherCAT terminal detects a fault, it switches to a safe state (fail safe). The module meets the requirements of IEC 61508 SIL3 and DIN EN ISO 13849 PL e.
