Compact PLC

Compact control systems support EtherCAT and other industrial fieldbuses. They provide deterministic real-time communication with drive controllers and input/output modules. The devices meet the requirements of classical PLC automation.

Programming is done with the CODESYS Development System V3; depending on the model, SoftMotion or SoftMotion + CNC Robotics applications are also supported.

Input/output expansion is done over EtherCAT: remote input/output stations are added via a bus coupler.

For the operator interface, the manufacturer recommends Vico operator panels or the use of an industrial monitor with an HDMI input together with the CODESYS TargetVisu option.

The Econo 328 differs from the others. In the manufacturer's definition it is an industrial-grade embedded computer: it carries a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4, is fully passively cooled and includes a mini UPS with a power-loss function. The Linux RT add-on enables real-time process control. It is used as an industrial gateway, automation controller or micro edge computer. It has an HDMI interface for connecting a monitor; its communication interfaces can be expanded with optional expansion modules.

Some of the models in the list are not recommended by the manufacturer for new projects; the current status of each product is stated in its technical table.
