Description
The Kuhnke FIO Safety SDI4/SDO2 is a safety I/O terminal with four safe digital input and two safe digital output channels. This expansion module in the Kuhnke FIO series is easily integrated into EtherCAT networks.
The four inputs receive sensor information via floating 24 V DC contacts; the two outputs supply up to 2 A per channel to 24 V DC actuators. When the EtherCAT terminal detects a fault, it switches to a safe state (fail safe). The module meets the requirements of IEC 61508 SIL3 and DIN EN ISO 13849 PL e.
Supported safety functions: 4 x emergency stop, or 4 x contact sensor, or 2 x light barrier, or 1 x two-hand control and 2 independent output functions.
