Description
The BL-M.D series consists of decentralized servo drives. It is offered as a solution that eliminates the control cabinet. The series covers the BL 4840-M/D and BL 4104-M/D models. The M and D variants have the same power ratings but differ in size and weight.
BL 4840-M/D
A control cabinet is generally not required for the drives. Parameter setting is done via USB and Ethernet. On-board EtherCAT/PROFINET communication is provided, with optional CANopen. Universal HIPERFACE®, HIPERFACE DSL®, EnDat 2.2, resolver, digital and analog encoders as well as BiSS encoders are supported. Monitoring can be done via tablet and smartphone using Bluetooth.
BL 4104-M/D
A control cabinet is not required for the drives; the servo drive can be mounted on the motor. Parameter setting is done via USB and Ethernet. On-board EtherCAT/PROFINET communication is provided, with optional CANopen. Universal HIPERFACE®, HIPERFACE DSL®, EnDat 2.2, resolver, digital and analog encoders are supported. Monitoring can be done via tablet and smartphone using Bluetooth.
Safety Functions
STO – Safe Torque Off: Disconnection of the drive’s power supply in accordance with EN 61800-5-2. This function ensures that the drive can no longer generate power.
SS1 – Safe Stop 1: The drive is braked independently to a standstill within a defined time using a defined braking ramp, after which the power supply is safely switched off. SS1 type C is supported.
