Matched servo system — advanced series (FV5)

FV5-R3 is an advanced rotary servo system consisting of servo drives and servo motors matched to each other, designed for applications requiring high precision with transmission and conveying axes. This page covers the pulse/direction (pulse) and Modbus version of the series.

Control and communication

The drive is controlled with pulse/direction (pulse) and Modbus RS485; it offers a 4 MHz pulse input and standard encoder output. It provides a full closed-loop function, standard dynamic braking and a built-in 24 V source. Upload/download via Bluetooth is supported for parameter setting.

Motor and encoder

The motors feature a 17-bit multi-turn absolute encoder. The range is between 1800 W and 7500 W; it consists of motors with a 110–180 mm flange and 1500–3000 rpm nominal speed. Each power level is offered with two motor options, with brake and without brake (code suffix −230 without brake, −232 with brake).

Drive

The drives are mostly powered by three-phase 380 V (one model three-phase 220 V); standard dynamic braking and, depending on the model, an internal or external braking resistor is used. One drive works with both the braked and non-braked motor of the same power.

Model list

The table below shows the 18 servo motors in the Turkey list (9 with brake + 9 without brake); each row gives the matched servo drive, the drive’s supply, motor cable, brake cable and encoder cable together. Some braked models use a combined motor+brake cable (FVL-MBC…); no separate brake cable is specified in those rows. The cables are 5 m. You can request a quote for configurations not in the list.
