Description

This module series combines many different I/O signals in a single intelligent module; it saves the limited space inside the cabinet and reduces the variety of modules needed in an EtherCAT® system. The modules under the FIO MIX system name complement the high-density and multifunctional modules of the Kuhnke EtherCAT I/O family.

The module provides 2 encoder interfaces for reading the signals of incremental (HTL/TTL) encoders or absolute position encoders with SSI or EnDAT 2.1 interface. Alternatively, 6 event counters can also be configured.

Configuration in CODESYS is done via the modules plugged into the corresponding slots. Each slot represents a channel or an encoder interface. This method is based on the EtherCAT Modular Device Profile.

Features: Programmable via CoE; SSI encoder, EnDAT 2.1, 5/24 V encoder, RS-422.
