Description
This module series combines many different I/O signals in a single intelligent module; this saves the limited space inside the cabinet and reduces the variety of modules needed in an EtherCAT system. The high-density, multifunctional I/O modules under the FIO MIX system name complete the Kuhnke EtherCAT I/O family.
The Kuhnke FIO MIX 111 module offers 2 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs, each configurable for current and voltage, in addition to 12 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. Alternatively, certain I/Os can be configured for special functions; for example, 2 event counters, 2 A-B-Z encoders, 4 pulse train outputs (PTO), or 4 PWM outputs can be configured. Configuration in CODESYS is done with plug-in modules inserted into the corresponding slots. Each slot represents, for example, an analog channel or an encoder interface. This method is based on the EtherCAT Modular Device Profile.
