Description
The Kuhnke FIO Safety OC Counter/Encoder module counts binary pulses and transmits the counter values galvanically isolated to the higher-level safety PLC. 2 counters are available. The module can operate as an A-B-Ref or up/down counter. It is possible to switch between single and multiple evaluation of the encoder signals. In normal operation, the digital inputs and output are used as digital I/O for control or status indication over the bus. With suitable configuration, the output can also be controlled depending on a counter. In addition, the input signals can be used to clear, initialize, or freeze the counter state.
In addition, in the Kuhnke FIO OC module this data is transmitted with a protected telegram; it can therefore be used together with the Kuhnke FIO Safety PLC in safety-related applications.
