Description
Kuhnke FIO is a system of I/O modules for interconnecting process signals in an EtherCAT network. It consists of a bus coupler and a series of I/O modules. The bus coupler converts the physical transmission technology (twisted pair) to LVDS (E-bus) and generates the system voltages required by the LVDS modules. On one side, the standard 100 Base Tx lines used in office network communication are connected; on the other side, the I/O modules for process signals. The EtherCAT protocol is thus preserved down to the last I/O module. At the end of the modular unit, the outgoing and return lines are terminated automatically.
