Description
The Kuhnke FIO Controller 116 is an ARM-based mini industrial computer with a built-in CODESYS PLC. It can exchange data with other systems over Industrial Ethernet and RS-232. A built-in SD card slot and USB interface allow process data to be stored locally.
Its mechanical properties and form factor are compatible with the FIO I/O modules; the modules are added directly side by side to form a mechanically and electrically integrated unit. Thanks to its interfaces (Industrial Ethernet, RS-232, CAN), the fieldbuses it supports, and the communication modules that can be added, it is easily integrated into existing control concepts.
In addition, the controller can exchange data as a PROFINET IO Device with existing PROFINET IO controllers via the left-side add-on module. The Controller 116 supports Modbus TCP and RTU Client functions in every case. When an additional expansion module is used, control of remote EtherCAT SubDevice devices is also possible. With its OPC UA interface, it is suited to Industry 4.0 communication.
