EtherCAT motion controller
The FL6 smart controller is a mid-range PLC developed on the CODESYS platform. It has an IEC 61131-3 architecture, supports multiple field buses and performs synchronous motion control functions such as CAM and CNC. Its rich network interfaces meet different application requirements.

The series has three models: 16, 32 and 64 axes. All three share the same hardware — quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 2 GB memory, 8 GB storage — only the axis capacity and EtherCAT cycle time differ.
Network and serial interfaces
There is one gigabit and two 100 Mbit network ports; the EtherCAT connection is established via 2 × RJ45 and Modbus-TCP via 1 × RJ45. On the serial side there are 2 × RS485 and 1 × RS232.
Expansion and operating conditions
Up to 16 expansion modules can be attached on the right side. The device operates in the -20 °C … +60 °C range; its dimensions are 78 × 98 × 100 mm. Supply is DC 24 V (−25% … +20%).
